1. Overview (ABC Launcher)
This Privacy Policy applies to ABC Launcher provided by artArmin. It describes what data the app may collect, how it is used, and the rights available to users.
2. Data the app may collect
ABC Launcher is a free application for Android. artArmin operates no server for it, and the app sends no data to artArmin.
The app does use three Google Firebase services, described below. These send crash, usage and performance data to Google, together with the identifiers those services generate.
Crash data and diagnostics
Collected via Firebase Crashlytics when the app encounters an error. Used only to improve stability. This may include technical Log Data such as device model, operating system version, app configuration at the time of the error, and the date and time of the event.
Analytics
The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to record which screens are opened and which settings are in use, to help improve the app. These events never include the names of your apps, your favorites, or your hidden apps.
The SDK adds its own identifiers, along with device and locale information, and brings the Android advertising ID into scope. That is why the app's Play Data safety declaration lists "Device or other IDs".
Performance
The app uses Firebase Performance Monitoring, which automatically records traces of app start-up, foreground and background transitions, screen rendering, and network requests. The app adds no traces of its own.
No opt-out
There is no in-app switch to turn Crashlytics, Analytics or Performance Monitoring off. All three start with the app, so the first launch is not network-silent. Uninstalling the app is the only way to stop them.
3. Permissions
If the app requests device permissions, they are used only for the core functionality of the app (acting as your home screen and listing your installed apps) and never for tracking.
4. What the app does not collect
The app does not collect:
- name
- phone number
- physical address
- contacts
- precise or continuous location
- photos or files
The app does not create user accounts and has no login feature.
5. How collected data is used
Any data processed via the platform services above (analytics, crash reporting and performance monitoring):
- is used only for functionality, diagnostics, or analytics
- is not sold
- is not used for profiling
- is not shared with third parties except the platform providers listed below
6. Data stored on your device
Your favorites, hidden apps and the app-list cache are held in an encrypted database. Its key is protected by the device's keystore and never written to disk in readable form. On a device where the keystore is unavailable, the app keeps working but without that encryption.
Your settings and the widget layout are stored as ordinary readable values, and the drawn app icons are image files in the app's cache.
- All of it remains on your device until you delete it or clear the app's data.
- Crash, analytics and performance data follow Google's retention policies for Firebase. The app sets no retention control, and neither the app nor artArmin can delete data that has already been uploaded.
- No data is stored on artArmin servers.
7. Backup
If Android Backup is turned on for your Google account, Android copies this app's settings and widget layout into your own Google account backup, so a new device can restore them.
Your favorites, hidden apps and the app-list cache - which is also the record of which apps you have installed - are deliberately excluded from that backup. The keystore key that protects them by design never leaves the device, so a copied database could not be read on a new one. The consequence is that favorites and hidden apps do not move to a new device and start empty there.
On Android 9 and above the backup is end-to-end encrypted with your device PIN, pattern or password. A device with no screen lock does not get that encryption.
artArmin has no access to this backup and cannot delete it. It is managed in your Google account's backup settings.
8. Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
9. User rights
Depending on your region, you may have the right to access your data, request deletion, restrict processing, object, or withdraw consent. There is no account to query, and artArmin holds no data about you. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its local data (Android Settings, then Apps, then ABC Launcher, then Storage, then Clear data), removes everything held on the device. Data already sent to Google through the three Firebase services cannot be deleted by artArmin or from within the app.
10. Third-party services
The app uses the following third-party services, each with its own privacy policy:
- Google Play Services
- Google Analytics for Firebase
- Firebase Crashlytics
- Firebase Performance Monitoring
11. Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the app means you accept the revised policy.
